Port of Nansha
Nansha serves the manufacturing centres of the western Pearl River Delta through container terminals on Longxue Island. Part of Guangzhou Port, it connects factories and distribution businesses around Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhongshan and Jiangmen with international shipping routes.
The terminal area combines container yards with cold and dry warehousing, rail connections and a central inspection centre. Inspection facilities include scanning, cargo treatment and refrigerated storage, supporting shipments that require checks or controlled conditions before onward transport.
Its location gives western delta shippers a maritime outlet within their own part of the region. Containers can move between ocean services and road or rail networks, while on-site storage provides space between these stages. The port’s role therefore extends from loading vessels to organising the movement of goods from nearby production areas.
