Da Chan Bay Port

Da Chan Bay is a container terminal complex in western Shenzhen serving the manufacturing areas of the Pearl River Delta. Its position supports both truck movements from nearby industrial districts and river connections that bring cargo towards the ocean shipping network.

The terminal has seven berths, with quayside gantry cranes for transferring containers between ships and the storage yard. Electrical connections for refrigerated containers support temperature-controlled cargo while it waits for onward movement. Commercial operations began in 2008.

Modern Terminals and Shenzhen Yantian Port Group are partners in the facility. Its combination of road access, river transport and container handling gives exporters and importers several links between the waterfront and the surrounding production region, with Da Chan Bay forming a distinct terminal location within Shenzhen’s wider port system.
