Port of Tarifa
Tarifa is a compact passenger and fishing port at the Strait of Gibraltar. Its ferry link with Tangier Ville connects the town directly with the opposite shore, carrying travellers and vehicles between the two urban ports.
The passenger terminal and ferry berths organise the movement from road transport to sea crossings. Vehicles board through ramps, while foot passengers use the terminal facilities before embarkation. The crossing serves a mixture of longer journeys and visits between the neighbouring coastal regions.
Fishing activity occupies another part of the harbour, retaining a working maritime function beside the passenger business. Together, these uses shape a port closely connected to the town: ferry arrivals generate passenger and vehicle movements, while the fishing waterfront supports local vessels within the same sheltered harbour area.
