Port of Cadiz
Cádiz’s commercial harbour sits beside the historic city, combining passenger calls with the handling of goods. Its position near the meeting of Atlantic and Mediterranean routes supports cruise itineraries as well as the wider trading role of the Bay of Cádiz port system.
The city-side harbour is enclosed by breakwaters and divided into basins with quays for different uses. General cargo, containers and roll-on/roll-off traffic form part of its commercial profile, while passenger facilities receive visitors close to the urban centre. Repair docks add an industrial activity to this waterfront.
The wider bay contains other port areas, including facilities around the free zone and La Cabezuela. These should be understood as separate working locations. The central Cádiz harbour brings together the city-facing passenger business and established cargo quays within that larger maritime network.
