Port of Malaga
Malaga combines cruise and ferry traffic with a commercial cargo harbour beside the city. Breakwaters enclose its working basins, where passenger terminals, freight quays and fishing facilities occupy different parts of the waterfront.
The passenger business includes cruise calls and ferry connections with Melilla. Cargo operations are more varied than the visitor-facing harbour suggests: terminal areas handle containers, vehicles, general freight and bulk materials, including cement and aggregates. Separate facilities accommodate liquid products and other specialised shipments.
This division allows the port to serve both regional supply chains and passenger travel. Cruise vessels use dedicated terminal areas, while freight moves through quays and storage spaces suited to its handling requirements. Fishing activity adds another working use within the enclosed harbour.
