Port of Zhoushan

Zhoushan’s island harbour areas form the offshore side of the integrated Ningbo Zhoushan port system. Their cargo activity includes dry bulk materials and petroleum, with tanker and general cargo berths distributed across a broad archipelago waterfront.

Coal and iron ore are among the commodities handled in this port region. These trades require facilities suited to large consignments and transfers between marine transport and storage, alongside terminals serving other cargo types. The island setting means that individual operations occupy separate harbour areas.

Zhoushan works within the same wider port organisation as mainland Ningbo, but the two names describe different parts of that network. The location shown here belongs to the island port region, whose maritime role includes supplying raw materials and supporting bulk cargo movements.
