Port of Ningbo

Ningbo forms the mainland side of the integrated Ningbo Zhoushan port system, linking international shipping with the Yangtze River Delta’s industrial and trading economy. Container traffic is a central part of this gateway role, connecting overseas routes with a large inland market.

The wider port operates across multiple terminal areas rather than a single harbour frontage. Marine cargo handling and onward distribution together support the flow of manufactured goods and other traded products between shipping services and businesses in the hinterland.
