Container Corporation of India Ltd, headquartered in New Delhi, is a leading government-owned logistics and multimodal transport enterprise in India. Incorporated in March 1988, the company began operations in November 1989 by taking over seven inland container depots from Indian Railways.

CONCOR plays a pivotal role in India’s containerised cargo ecosystem: it provides rail-based container transport, operates inland container depots (ICDs) and container freight stations (CFSs), offers road feeder services, and manages bonded warehousing and cold-chain facilities. With a network of more than 60 terminals across the country and integrated ‘hub-and-spoke’ connections, it is an essential backbone for both domestic logistics and export/import supply chains.

One of CONCOR’s defining features is its combination of rail-haulage strength and multimodal flexibility: although rail remains the mainstay for long-distance container movement (leveraging India’s rail network), the company also offers road-transport linkages, terminal services and value-added logistics such as LCL consolidation and customs bonded operations.
