Port of Xinhui

Xinhui provides a river port outlet for manufacturers in the Jiangmen area. Its container operations connect local production with larger coastal shipping gateways, allowing cargo to begin its export journey closer to the factory.

A combined-port service linking Xinhui with Yantian opened in 2024. Under this arrangement, export containers can complete customs procedures at Xinhui before travelling by barge to Yantian for transfer to an ocean-going vessel. The launch shipment included locally produced plastic goods bound for an overseas customer.

The arrangement brings the two ports into a shared customs process, with information exchanged between the relevant customs offices. Xinhui therefore serves as an inland collection and clearance point within a longer international transport chain, while the main sea crossing takes place through Yantian.
