Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines (SPIL) Container Tracking

Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines (SPIL) is an Indonesian container shipping and logistics company headquartered in Surabaya. It operates mainly on domestic routes, connecting more than 30 ports across the archipelago and supporting trade between major islands such as Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi.

SPIL has developed a network that covers almost all of Indonesia “from Sabang to Merauke”, using a modern fleet of around 50 container and multipurpose vessels and a capacity estimated at roughly 300,000 TEU on about 40 routes. Alongside sea transport, the group offers integrated services under a one-stop logistics concept, including warehousing, inland distribution and digital tools for booking and track & trace.

An interesting detail is SPIL’s emphasis on Indonesian identity: many vessels are named after Indonesian women, and employees wear batik on Fridays— choices the company presents as a reminder that it is “built by Indonesians, for Indonesia”.
