Port of Capri

Capri’s Marina Grande brings commercial vessels and private boats into the same bay on the island’s northern shore. An internal dividing pier separates the western commercial harbour from the eastern marina, creating distinct working areas within the protected waterfront.

The marina has quays and floating pontoons sheltered by stone breakwaters. Its position beside the commercial port places visiting boats close to the arrival point for other maritime traffic, while the harbour layout separates their berthing areas inside the bay.

Connections ashore are concentrated around the waterfront. A funicular links Marina Grande with Capri town, and nearby bus stops and taxi ranks provide further access around the island. Shops, cafés and restaurants close to the marina support the practical needs of people arriving by sea.
