Port of Napoli

Naples combines commercial cargo handling, passenger services and ship repair across an extensive urban harbour. Breakwaters enclose a series of basins, with different waterfront areas accommodating freight terminals, ferry facilities and maritime industry.

The eastern commercial sector forms part of this wider port system, while passenger operations occupy separate quays. Ferry services connect Naples with destinations including Palermo and Termini Imerese, carrying passengers and vehicles alongside freight movements.

Cruise activity adds another source of arrivals, and repair facilities support vessels beyond their cargo or passenger calls. The resulting port economy depends on several parallel businesses: the movement of goods, sea travel and technical work on ships, distributed among distinct terminals rather than concentrated at one waterfront location.
