Port of Varna
Varna’s eastern harbour brings commercial shipping close to the city on the Black Sea coast. Varna East combines a varied cargo role with a passenger terminal, forming the urban part of a wider port system that extends inland through connected lakes and channels.
The eastern terminal handles general cargo, bulk materials, containers and roll-on, roll-off traffic. Its range of activities allows different types of freight to use the same port district, alongside passenger and visiting vessels.
Varna West occupies a separate site on Beloslav Lake and serves another part of the regional industrial economy. Together, the two terminals connect maritime routes with inland customers, while the city-side harbour retains the closest relationship with Varna’s central waterfront and passenger activity.
