Port of Mangalia

Mangalia is a commercial harbour on the Black Sea with cargo quays and shipyard areas sharing a sheltered waterfront. Its southern coastal position places it within the maritime port system administered from Constanța.

The port authority identifies chemicals, fertilisers, bitumen and general cargo among the goods handled in the Mangalia zone. Breakwaters protect the approach to the harbour, while the commercial berths occupy part of a larger waterside area associated with industrial maritime activity.

Shipbuilding and repair facilities are a notable part of the surrounding waterfront, giving Mangalia a role beyond loading and unloading cargo. The combination of industrial quays and shipyard land distinguishes the commercial harbour from the leisure berths serving the town’s visitors.
