Port of Manila South Harbor
Manila South Harbor is an international cargo gateway serving Metro Manila and its surrounding markets. Asian Terminals operates its container facilities, where quayside handling is linked with yards and inspection areas close to the city’s trading and manufacturing businesses.
The container operation uses Piers 3 and 5, with ship-to-shore cranes transferring boxes between vessels and the terminal. Separate yard areas accommodate laden and empty containers, refrigerated cargo and dangerous goods. Facilities for packing and unpacking containers allow individual consignments to be prepared for onward transport.
Truck marshalling areas, weighbridges and cargo examination facilities form part of the movement between the waterfront and city roads. Together, these elements make South Harbor more than a berth for international ships: it is also a place where arriving cargo is checked, sorted and released into local distribution networks.
