Port of Manila
Manila’s North Harbor is a domestic shipping gateway linking the capital with other parts of the archipelago. Passenger services, inter-island freight and container handling share a waterfront organised around several piers and terminal areas.
NorthPort operates the harbour’s domestic facilities. Its terminal layout accommodates vessel cargo operations alongside multipurpose and roll-on/roll-off passenger activity, where vehicles use ramps to move between ship and shore. This combination brings the movement of people and everyday supplies into the same port complex.
North Harbor also connects with the neighbouring Manila International Container Terminal through transfers by road. That relationship allows cargo arriving through the international shipping network to continue through domestic services. Its defining role remains the distribution of freight between islands and Metro Manila, supported by quays, cargo yards and passenger facilities within the wider Manila harbour system.
