Port of Sungai Udang

Sungai Udang is an energy port linked to the refining and gas infrastructure near Melaka. Crude oil and petroleum products form a central part of its cargo activity, supporting the industrial complex now known as Melaka Energy Park.

The wider port system also includes a separate offshore liquefied natural gas receiving facility. There, imported LNG is held in floating storage units and converted back into gas before being transferred ashore through a submarine pipeline. This gives the area both oil-handling and gas-supply functions.

MISC’s marine business provides port management, operating and engineering services at Sungai Udang. The different berths and offshore installations serve specific industrial processes, connecting seaborne energy cargoes with storage, processing and distribution on land.
