Port of Milos
Milos Bay brings passenger shipping and small-craft activity into a broad inlet on the island’s northern side. Adamas, on the inner shore, is the principal harbour town and the arrival point around which much of the island’s sea transport is organised.
A mole and jetty form the working waterfront at Adamas, accommodating ferries, coastal vessels and smaller craft. Passenger and vehicle movements connect the quays with roads leading into the island, while the harbour also supports leisure boating within the wider bay.
The bay has a separate industrial dimension, with cargo jetties on its eastern shore associated with mineral shipments. These facilities are distinct from the passenger waterfront. Together, the different landing places reflect the island’s two important maritime needs: links for residents and visitors, and outlets for materials produced ashore.
