Port of Corinth

Corinth’s modern waterfront combines a commercial harbour with a separate fishing shelter. The commercial facilities accommodate cargo ships and cruise vessels, placing freight handling and passenger visits alongside the everyday maritime activity of the town.

The harbour consists of shore quays and a protective mole. Part of the mole is used by roll-on, roll-off ships, which load or discharge wheeled cargo over a ramp. Paved areas behind the berths provide the landward part of the port, while road connections link it with the motorway network.

The fishing shelter lies to the south-east of the commercial facilities and accommodates fishing and leisure craft. These modern installations are distinct from the ancient harbours associated with Corinth, whose archaeological history often dominates searches for the port.
