Port of Cannes
Cannes’ Old Port is a leisure and passenger harbour beside the city’s historic waterfront. Its enclosed basin accommodates yachts and smaller craft, placing boating activity close to the old town and the public spaces around the harbour.
The port also supports passenger trips and cruise visits. Ferries and excursion boats connect the waterfront with nearby destinations, while cruise activity adds another flow of visitors to a harbour whose everyday character is closely linked to recreational boating.
Cannes has several distinct harbours, including Port Canto farther east, but the Old Port occupies the central waterfront beside Le Suquet. Its importance lies in the combination of yacht berthing, maritime tourism and direct access to the city, rather than large-scale industrial freight handling.
