Port of Weifang

Weifang is a multipurpose port serving the industrial economy around the southern Bohai coast. Its facilities handle containers, bulk materials and general cargo, with vehicle traffic adding another strand to the waterfront’s transport role.

The port became part of Shandong Port Group’s wider network following the acquisition of the former Sime Darby operation. Projects brought into service in 2023 included a roll-on, roll-off berth and a storage and transport centre for bulk and general cargo. These facilities support different handling methods within the same port complex.

Coastal connections link Weifang with other Bohai ports and destinations towards the Yangtze River Delta. Alongside the quays, storage and distribution activities connect sea transport with local industry, making the port part of a regional logistics network.
