Port of Huangpu
Huangpu is part of Guangzhou’s river-based port system, with cargo facilities extending along the Pearl River east of the city. The Huangpu New Port area, also known as Xingang, forms part of this working waterfront and serves the surrounding industrial economy.
Container handling and bulk cargo operations both feature in the wider Huangpu district. Xingang’s activities include coal handling, while dedicated terminals elsewhere in the district manage containerised freight. These operations give the river frontage several distinct cargo functions.
Huangpu sits within a broader port network that also includes Xinsha and Nansha. Its river location places freight handling close to established urban and industrial areas, linking waterfront terminals with the production and distribution activity of the Pearl River region.
