Port of Muara
Muara is an international trade gateway at the entrance to Brunei Bay. Its commercial facilities bring containerised freight and conventional cargo into the same port system, serving importers, exporters and businesses supplying the wider domestic market.
The port has separate container and conventional terminals, supported by warehouse facilities. This arrangement accommodates both standard shipping containers and goods that need other forms of handling or storage between their sea journey and onward distribution.
A cruise ship centre adds a passenger function to the working waterfront. Muara’s position near the South China Sea gives it access to regional shipping routes, while its combination of cargo terminals and storage makes it an important point of entry for goods moving into the surrounding economy.
