Cleveland ferry harbour
Cleveland’s Toondah Harbour is the mainland departure point for ferries to North Stradbroke Island, also known as Minjerribah. Passenger and vehicle services cross to Dunwich, making the harbour an important link between the island and the roads serving the Brisbane region.
The terminal accommodates travellers boarding on foot and vehicles waiting to drive aboard. These two forms of transport serve different needs: passengers can continue by island transport, while vehicle ferries allow cars to travel with their occupants. The crossing supports residents' journeys as well as holiday and day-trip traffic.
Cleveland’s maritime role is therefore closely tied to access across the bay. The harbour connects mainland travel with island communities and visitor destinations, with ferry operations shaping the activity around its waterfront.
