Port of Gemlik

Gemlik’s waterfront brings together several cargo terminals serving the factories of Bursa and the southern Marmara region. Containers and finished vehicles are central to this trade, alongside steel, other industrial materials and goods from the region’s textile and food businesses. The port area lies inside Gemlik Bay, connected to the Sea of Marmara.

Gemport, Borusan Port and Rodaport form distinct parts of this waterfront. Their facilities include container handling, vehicle loading, general cargo quays and storage areas, with different combinations of services at each terminal.

This concentration of terminals gives manufacturers around Bursa an outlet for exports and a route for imported production inputs. Its hinterland also extends towards inland industrial centres such as Eskişehir, Bilecik and Kütahya, connecting their supply chains with maritime transport.
