Port of Malmo

Malmö's port combines a major vehicle distribution business with terminals for liquid bulk and other freight. New cars pass through the waterfront for onward delivery across Scandinavian and Baltic markets, using a logistics network that connects shipping with rail and road transport.

Vehicle facilities provide unloading, storage and preparation before delivery. Some cars undergo inspection or adjustments at the terminal, while handling arrangements also accommodate heavier vehicles and machinery. This gives the port a role within the distribution process beyond simply receiving vessels.

Separate liquid bulk berths connect by pipeline with storage tanks in the port area. Together, the vehicle and liquid cargo operations serve different regional supply chains, supported by specialised terminal space and connections with the inland transport network.
