Port of Veracruz
Veracruz combines vehicle handling with general cargo operations in a Gulf-facing harbour protected by breakwaters. Its waterfront serves automotive supply chains alongside shipments of steel, aluminium, machinery and other goods that require individual handling at the quay.
Vehicle terminal operations include loading and unloading ships, temporary storage, inspection and transfer to road or rail transport. Separate general cargo areas accommodate products such as steel coils, pipes and beams, as well as project equipment, using covered storage and open handling space.
These facilities connect marine transport with inland manufacturing and distribution. Finished vehicles move between ships and collection networks, while metals and industrial equipment continue to their users ashore. The port’s role therefore includes both handling the cargo and preparing it for the next transport stage.
