Port of Uno

Uno is a gateway to the islands of the Seto Inland Sea, with passenger piers close to the centre of Tamano. Ferry journeys to Naoshima, Teshima and Shodoshima make the port an important starting point for island travel and visits connected with the region’s art destinations.

The waterfront includes regular ferry piers and a berth for cruise ships. Uno railway station links the harbour area with the inland rail network, while nearby shops, cafés and accommodation serve travellers passing between land and sea.

Beyond the passenger frontage, the wider port area has industrial quays and a shipbuilding tradition. This combination gives Uno two complementary roles: it supports the coastal industries around Tamano while providing an accessible departure point for communities and visitors travelling through the Inland Sea’s island network.
