Gresik Java Port

Gresik combines commercial shipping with passenger connections on the western side of the Madura Strait. The city’s waterfront serves an established industrial area close to Surabaya, while its passenger terminal supports travel between the mainland and nearby islands.

Pelindo lists both Gresik port and a separate passenger terminal within its operating network. The Gresik–Bawean crossing is one recognised passenger connection, giving island residents a direct link to the city for journeys and onward transport.

The surrounding industrial coast also includes dedicated company terminals, including facilities serving fertiliser producer Petrokimia Gresik. These operate alongside the public port’s functions, creating a waterfront where industrial cargo movements and regional passenger travel have distinct facilities and purposes.
