Port of Horsens

Horsens is a commercial harbour at the head of Horsens Fjord, serving agricultural, construction and industrial cargo. Grain and animal feed are established bulk trades, alongside sand, crushed stone and marine aggregates received or dispatched in loose form.

General cargo is another part of the harbour’s business. Its quayside cranes handle goods shipped as individual pieces or packages, extending the port’s work beyond the loose materials used by farming and construction businesses.

The port also provides space for project cargo that does not fit a standard container. Examples include machinery installations, tanks, boilers and wind turbine components, which require room for handling on land as well as a suitable lifting arrangement at the quay.
