Port of Omisalj

Omisalj connects tanker deliveries in the northern Adriatic with JANAF’s oil transport and storage system. The terminal on Krk receives crude oil and petroleum products, providing a coastal entry point for supplies moving towards refineries and inland users.

Two tanker berths are linked to separate storage facilities for crude oil and refined products. Loading arms transfer cargo between ships and shore, while a road-loading installation provides another outlet for petroleum products. The terminal’s handling arrangements reflect the different requirements of these liquid cargoes.

Crude oil can move onward towards Sisak, with a separate subsea connection serving the Rijeka refinery. The combination of marine reception, storage and pipeline links gives Omisalj a role extending beyond its island setting: it connects seaborne oil movements with an inland industrial supply network.
