Port of Wien

Vienna’s passenger waterfront at Reichsbrücke provides access to Danube excursions and other river journeys. The landing stages beside the shipping centre on Handelskai serve sightseeing, themed and charter sailings, placing this part of the waterfront within the city’s visitor and leisure transport network.

Several numbered piers are grouped around the shipping centre, with embarkation organised according to the vessel and service. The location is on the main Danube, separate from the Danube Canal landing at Schwedenplatz, another departure point used by passenger boats in the city.

The nearby U1 underground connection at Vorgartenstraße links the waterfront with central Vienna. This combination of river access and urban transport makes Reichsbrücke a practical boarding area for passengers joining trips along the Danube and viewing the city from the water.
