Unifeeder Group, headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark, is a global specialist in feeder and short-sea shipping and multimodal logistics. Founded in 1977, the company began by linking Scandinavian ports and has since grown into a network that spans Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the Americas.

Unifeeder’s core offering involves connecting deep-sea container hubs with smaller and niche ports via its fleet and network of chartered vessels, effectively acting as the “link” between major liner operators and ports they don’t serve directly. Additionally, the company offers end-to-end multimodal services—integrating sea, rail and road transport—to deliver door-to-door logistics solutions.

With more than 200 ports in its network and around 14,000+ port calls annually, Unifeeder’s scale and presence are significant in the feeder/short-sea sector. In 2018, the company was acquired by DP World, the global trade-and-logistics platform, which marked a strategic move to expand integrated supply-chain services beyond the terminal business. Beyond standard feeder and short-sea services, Unifeeder has recently launched new regional services, for example into the Caribbean and India-Egypt-Turkey corridors, which reflects its ambition to serve not just Europe but global intra-regional trades.
