Cai Mep Port

Cai Mep is a group of commercial terminals serving the industrial region southeast of Ho Chi Minh City. Deepwater container facilities form an important part of the port district, connecting the region’s importers and exporters with international shipping routes.

Individual terminals provide services beyond vessel loading. At Cai Mep International Terminal, these include transfers of laden and empty containers between terminals, together with container inspection, cleaning and repair. Quay cranes and container yards support the exchange between ships and transport ashore.

The wider Cai Mep district also includes bulk cargo facilities. Cai Mep General Port combines wharf handling with covered and bonded warehousing and inland transport. These different operations give the district separate roles in manufactured goods and industrial materials, with the appropriate terminal determined by the cargo being moved.
