Port of Rize

Rize’s commercial waterfront handles a varied mix of bulk materials and general cargo. The Riport operator lists coal, fertiliser, marble, construction steel and mineral concentrates among its cargo activities, linking the harbour with industrial and construction supply chains.

The port combines quays with covered storage, a general bonded warehouse and areas for stockpiling mineral cargoes. Conveyor equipment supports bulk loading, while the range of storage arrangements allows loose materials and other goods to be handled through different parts of the site.

Road connections extend the port’s reach along the eastern Black Sea coast and towards inland markets around Erzurum. Rize’s economic role comes from combining those land connections with cargo handling at the city waterfront, serving the movement of materials between regional businesses and sea transport.
