Yeosu: passenger links across a coastal port network
Yeosu’s passenger waterfront connects the city with surrounding islands and visiting cruise ships. Coastal ferry terminals, smaller landing places and dedicated cruise facilities form a network of maritime access points serving different kinds of journey.
The older harbour includes passenger and lighter wharves, while the newer passenger facilities occupy a separate part of the waterfront. This distribution reflects the city’s combination of local sea transport, visitor arrivals and smaller vessel activity, rather than a single terminal handling every service.
Yeosu also lends its name to a much wider industrial port area. The petroleum and chemical terminals associated with the Yeosu–Gwangyang complex serve separate industrial locations and should be distinguished from the urban passenger harbour and its island connections.
