Port of Szczecin

Szczecin is an inland seaport on the Odra, reached from the Baltic through the waterway leading past Świnoujście. Its position places maritime cargo handling within an established industrial and distribution area, with connections extending towards western Poland and neighbouring inland markets.

The port has facilities for bulk commodities, general cargo and containers, alongside shipbuilding and repair activity. Railways, roads and inland waterways link its quays with the hinterland, allowing cargo to continue beyond the waterfront by several transport modes.

Szczecin and coastal Świnoujście form a complementary port system. Szczecin’s particular role combines access for seagoing vessels with river transport and nearby industry, making the inland location an essential part of its commercial character.
