Port of Vancouver
Vancouver Harbour combines container handling, bulk exports and cruise departures within Burrard Inlet. Terminals on its northern and southern shores connect ocean shipping with trade in grain, potash and other commodities, alongside manufactured goods carried in containers.
The harbour lies between First Narrows and Second Narrows. Its shoreline accommodates facilities with distinct cargo roles: grain terminals handle agricultural products, while container terminals organise boxed freight for onward shipment. This concentration of specialised waterfront sites makes the inlet an important part of the wider Port of Vancouver.
Canada Place adds a passenger function close to the city centre, serving cruise travel including Alaska itineraries. The harbour therefore supports both industrial shipping and visitor traffic, with cargo terminals and passenger facilities occupying different parts of the same inlet.
