TimeToCargo

Overview

Get an API key and retrieve your first tracking result

Retrieve container movement history using a container, bill of lading, or booking number with the TimeToCargo API.

Get an API key

Create a key in your account and include it in the api_key query parameter. You can sign up for a free trial in your account. To continue using the API, subscribe to a paid plan.

Send a tracking request

Pass a container number to GET /v2/tracking. Set company=AUTO to detect the carrier automatically. This option is available only for type=container.

GET https://tracking.timetocargo.com/v2/tracking?api_key=YOUR_TOKEN&company=AUTO&value=MSDU8368827&type=container
Accept: application/json

Handle the response

Check the HTTP status, followed by the success and status fields in the response. When status is "OK", data contains the tracking result. INFO_NOT_FOUND means the request was processed but no tracking data was found. See Errors for other statuses and how to handle them.

A single-number request returns its result in the same response. To track multiple numbers, create a task with POST /v2/tracking/batch, then retrieve its results with GET /v2/tracking/batch. See the batch tracking example.

Next steps

Start with the code examples, review authentication and limits, or set up webhooks to receive shipment updates. The API reference describes all operations and fields. You can also download the OpenAPI specification.
